If you are aged 21 or over and can fund your bank account with at least £500 per month and can provide a valid email address to use our Internet Banking service to monitor your account online, you could benefit from the best current account interest rate we offer.

In return for managing your bank account with Internet Banking, the market leading Premier Direct Current Account comes with a high interest rate, an authorised overdraft of at least £250, subject to status, additional checks and verification.

If you are switching your bank account from your existing provider, we aim to make the experience as hassle free as possible. We’ll take care of setting up all your standing orders and Direct Debits. We can even transfer your salary and close your old account for you.

Premier Current Account

The Alliance & Leicester Premier Current Account offers free European travel insurance currently worth up to £60 a year (upper age limit of 65 applies) when you fund the account with at least £500 each month. The account has a competitive interest rate, an authorised overdraft of at least £250, subject to status, additional checks and verification, and FREE Internet and Telephone Banking.
