Balanced Savings and Investment Plan

Discover short term savings from Alliance & Leicester and investment growth potential, over five years or more, from Legal & General with a Balanced Savings and Investment Plan.

Features and benefits

An Alliance & Leicester Fixed Rate Savings Bond, which offers a guaranteed rate of interest in the short term.
A Legal & General Portfolio Bond, which offers potentially higher returns than a typical deposit account over the medium to long-term. Unlike a deposit account, capital in the bond may fall as well as rise. Its value and the level of income is not guaranteed and you may not get back your original investment.
Of the total initial investment, at least 60% must be invested in the Legal & General Portfolio Bond.

The 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond matures on the anniversary of the bond. A minimum investment of £1,000 over 1 year is required for the Fixed Rate Bond and a minimum of £5,000 is required for the Legal & General Portfolio Bond.
